Seamless Steel Pipe

Product Overview

Seamless steel pipes are manufactured through piercing, hot rolling, or cold drawing processes, resulting in a pipe without any weld seams. Hot-rolled pipes are suitable for medium to large diameters and thick walls; cold-drawn pipes offer higher dimensional accuracy and smoother inner and outer surfaces, and are widely used for conveying high-pressure, high-temperature, and corrosive media.

Product Details

Product advantages

Seamless structure : High overall strength, no weak welded areas, and excellent pressure and fatigue resistance.

Flexible processing : wide range of hot-rolled products (DN10~DN900); high precision cold-drawing (up to ±0.1mm).

Comprehensive standards : covering ASTM A106 Gr.B / A53 Gr.B / API 5L Gr.B / X42 / X52 / EN 10216-1, etc.

Suitable for harsh working conditions : High temperature resistance (up to 600℃) and high pressure resistance (up to 30MPa and above).

High surface quality : The inner and outer surfaces of the cold-drawn tube are bright, and it can be directly used in hydraulic and precision machinery.

Application areas

Oil and gas long-distance pipelines and oilfield gathering and transportation

High-pressure boiler, superheater, heat exchanger tube bundle

High-temperature and high-pressure process pipelines in chemical and refining plants

Machining: Hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic components, bearing rings

Building structure: high-strength frame, bridge tie rods

Product Parameters

Parameters

Seamless steel pipe (SMLS)

Manufacturing process

Round steel billets are formed by piercing and hot rolling (or cold drawing/cold rolling), without weld seams.

Outer diameter range

DN10~DN900 (1/8”~36”); cold drawing can achieve even smaller diameters.

Wall thickness range

1.0 mm~60 mm (Due to processing limitations, small diameter thin-walled parts require cold drawing)

Length range

Single piece 4-12m (custom lengths available)

Executable Standards

ASTM A106/A53/A333/A335, API 5L, EN10216, DIN 1629, GB/T 8163

Common steel grades/materials

ASTM A106 Gr.B/C, A53 Gr.B, A333 Gr.6, API 5L Gr.B/×42~X80, P11/P22/P91

Maximum working pressure

Extremely high (up to 30 MPa or more, depending on wall thickness/steel grade)

Weld inspection

No weld defects, relying on material uniformity

Typical connection method

Welding, threads, flanges

Main advantages

Seamless, resistant to high pressure and high temperature, suitable for small diameter

Main limitations

Production of large-diameter/thin-walled tubes is limited, resulting in higher costs.

Commonly used internal/external coatings

Uncoated (bare pipe) or 3PE, FBE (external); internal corrosion protection is available.

Spiral Submerged Arc Welded Steel Pipe (SSAW)

Our spiral welded pipe rolling mill is independently developed and manufactured by our company. We have an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of pipe, with spiral welded pipe specifications ranging from DN219 to DN3600. Our entire production line can be transferred to the project site. This feature not only reduces pipeline transportation costs but also minimizes pipeline damage during transportation and helps ensure timely project execution by providing continuous and dedicated pipeline supply for specific projects.

High-frequency Resistance Welded Steel Pipe (ERW)

ERW steel pipes are made by cold-bending hot-rolled steel strips, then heating the edges of the strips to a molten state using the skin effect and proximity effect of high-frequency current, followed by extrusion welding to form a straight seam. HFW (high-frequency welding) is an upgraded process, offering more stable welding quality.

Straight Seam Submerged Arc Welded Steel Pipe (LSAW )

LSAW steel pipes use thick steel plates as raw materials. Through JCOE (progressive bending forming), UOE (U-shaped-O-shaped-expansion) or direct forming processes, the steel plates are gradually pressed into a cylindrical shape, and then a straight weld is formed by double-sided submerged arc automatic welding.
