In March 2024, at the Shandong-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation and Exchange Matchmaking Conference held in the Qingdao China-SCO Local Economic Cooperation Demonstration Zone, Qingdao Haodeboer Industrial Co., Ltd. and Hong Kong i2Cool Limited officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement, launching a new journey of Shandong-Hong Kong scientific and technological innovation collaboration.

As a leading enterprise in domestic pipeline manufacturing, Haodeboer specializes in the R&D and production of plastic-coated composite steel pipes and anti-corrosion pipelines. Leveraging the scientific research strength of City University of Hong Kong, i2Cool possesses internationally leading passive daytime radiative cooling technology without electricity, which achieves zero-energy cooling and significantly reduces energy consumption.

The two parties will focus on the R&D and industrialization of key technologies for intelligent long-distance liquid supply nano anti-corrosion coated composite pipeline systems, integrating electricity-free cooling and nano anti-corrosion technologies into pipeline products to create a new generation of green pipeline solutions featuring high efficiency, energy saving and long service life.

This cooperation serves as a model for the in-depth integration of scientific and technological innovation resources between Shandong and Hong Kong. Relying on the platform of the China-SCO Demonstration Zone and the Shandong-Hong Kong Science and Technology Cooperation and Innovation Center, both sides will give full play to their respective advantages, accelerate the commercialization of technological achievements, support the green and low-carbon transformation of the pipeline industry, and inject strong impetus into the development of new quality productive forces.
